High tech, high-end portable vaporizers are abundant these days. Which is all well and good, but there’s still plenty of room (and demand) for simpler, more affordable devices. The new Firewood is a welcome addition to that particular niche, offering high quality vaporization on a budget, and with a handmade charm seldom seen in the modern world.
At first glance you may dismiss this as just another Magic Flight Launch Box knock off. Dig a little deeper though, and you’ll find that there are some pretty big differences between the two. Firstly, the Firewood features a built in rechargeable battery, offering around 40 minutes of continuous heating on a single charge (or around 5 sessions).
The Firewood is also claimed to offer superior vapor quality to the MFLB, largely thanks to the nichrome coiled glass tube the unit houses, and a heated air intake. This allows for more heat transfer via convection than with other models similar in design to the MFLB. It should be noted that the Firewood actually uses a combination of convection and conduction heating, it is not a ‘pure’ convection vaporizer.
The introductory price of $100 makes this a very attractive option and a full $30 cheaper than the MFLB. One thing it does lack is a decent warranty, which for now is only 90 days. For more details and full list of specifications visit the Firewood website.
This looks like a really intriguing unit and we seriously can’t wait to get our hands on one! Expect a full review in the coming weeks.
